“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” (Ansel Adams)
My passion for photography began during my youth, which I spent in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley between Rüdesheim and Koblenz in Germany. This cultural asset, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its distinctive landscape, numerous castles and palaces, and thriving winegrowing, was inspiration enough to regularly pick up my then-analog camera.
Since retiring, photography has regained a firm place in my daily life alongside music, now primarily digitaly – but also occasionally analogue.
In addition to photographing landscapes, nature, and architecture in my current home country of Sweden, I also engage in street photography and documenting social change. I enjoy using abstract and minimalist stylistic devices.
